House Narrowly Passes Trump's Mega-bill

It now goes to the president's desk for signature

After days of Republican drama and feigned opposition, the House on Thursday passed President Donald Trump's sweeping tax cut and spending bill.

Trump helped Speaker Mike Johnson pressure GOP holdouts into flipping their no votes to allow the measure to go forward in time to meet the president's self-imposed July Fourth deadline.

According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), many of the bill's provisions will expand the nation's debt and strip millions of Americans of their healthcare.
