House to Take Final Vote on Trump’s Mega-bill

The U.S. House chamber is in a lull after lawmakers worked through the night to advance President Donald Trump’s policy agenda bill to a final vote in line with his self-imposed July 4 deadline.

House Democratic Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) has been speaking on the floor for more than seven hours during his "magic minute," an unlimited period of speaking time allotted to party leaders.

The New York Democrat has been speaking from a relatively full binder, sharing stories from Americans who will be impacted by Medicaid changes and other cuts in Trump’s megabill.
